At twenty, Jourie Vance has her entire life perfectly mapped out. As the owner of an elite, low-profile luxury hair brand, she moves like a ghost online and keeps her personal life completely locked down. She doesn't do chaos, she doesn't do clout, and she definitely doesn't do the music industry. Damiri "Von" Rivers is twenty-two, heavily tatted, unpredictable, and the most dangerous rising superstar in the rap game. He's used to girls doing the absolute most for his attention, but when he steps into Jourie's quiet sanctuary and gets nothing but icy silence, he's instantly hooked. Jourie knows getting involved with a reckless rapper is a threat to everything she's built-but the slow-burn tension is too electric to ignore. It's a dangerous game where lines are crossed, loyalty is tested, and the wrong choice might just be the best mistake she ever makes.

"You would be a good mom Solana." Aubree said as he watched her interact with Tatum. "You think so? I always thought my life was too busy to have kids. That's why I treat Tatum like mine." She shrugged as she sat next to him. "Just like you make time for Tatum it would be the same. You a naturally nurturing person so it wouldn't even be hard for you." Aubree shrugged. "What do you think life would've been like if we weren't famous?" "Shit how it was before. I'an even know my struggles would become a talent and get me out the hood, but sometimes it feel like the hood the only place I would wanna be in the moment. I choose familiarity over anything else." Solana nodded. She understood. Growing up in O Block wasn't the easiest, but it made them who they were today. Their struggles were the reason why they got to live lavish today. Sometimes it just felt surreal.

𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐌𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 ²⁰⁰⁰ˢ "Look at me when I'm talkin', ma," Kyron whispered to her, lifting the tip of her chin so she could look him in the eyes. She felt her cheeks flush from the proximity between them. Being this close to him always did something to her, and she hated how much she liked it. "What?" she asked. "I thought you like me bein' bad?" A smirk crept across her lips. He chuckled softly, his two fingers still holding onto her chin while maintaining eye contact with her. Neither of them looked away. The chemistry between them was obvious, sitting heavy in the space between their bodies. "Oh, I love it, ma." He smiled in a way that led to no good. "I just don't like bein' played with." "I ain't nobody playin' witchu," she told him. "Remember that you told me... we're not together." "And to keep shi P." Then she held up her fingers, forming a 'P'. He looked her up and down before looking back into her eyes, and she held his gaze. She was the only girl who could do that and make him feel nervous. There was just something about her. The way she held eye contact without backing down always threw him off a little, even if he'd never admit it. For a few seconds, neither of them spoke. They just stood there looking at each other. "Bet." That's all he said.

"I'm scared, Von. I don't want to get hurt again. I don't want to get too close to you, and then you take advantage of my love." I looked at him with a sad expression, not really meeting his eyes. Von took my hands and led me to the living room, where he sat down on the couch, pulling me with him. He pulled my legs over his, and rubbed over a birth mark I had above my knee. "Mulani, I will never do you wrong. I love everything bout you. You too special, ma. You deserved to be cherished, loved, and appreciated. It's forever gon' be you over anything. I promise you that." He looked me in my eyes, and I could tell that he will never be the person who corrupted me before. © All Rights Reserved
