Frank Iero is an English teacher at West Jefferson Academy. He loves his job with all his heart and genuinely cares about his students. And then he sees one of his students getting bullied, one of his favorite students. He tries to help Gerard but Gee refuses help. Eventually, Gee lets him in as they begin to have more than just normal teacher-student relationship.

Gerard Way is the school's Norman Bates. He's freaky, he acts like he's constantly anticipating something, and he does taxidermy. People fear him, and quite honestly, he gets off on it. There are so many bad rumors circulating about him that even he isn't sure which ones are true. Meanwhile, Frank Iero has a reputation for himself. He's an idiot. A comedic one, especially with his friend James, but an idiot. He once came to school high off his ass and passed his math exam with flying colors. It was a dumb move, but an entertaining one. Gerard Way was put in to a mental hospital two years ago for killing somebody. Frank arrives one day due to suicidal thoughts that have been haunting him for years. They get closer each day and reveal to each other their innermost secrets. Gerard is a sociopath though. Sociopaths' intentions are never good. so·ci·o·path ˈsōsēōˌpaTH/ noun a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience. I finished A Splitting of the Mind and was inspired to make a story about Gee and Frankie in a mental institute. I also dedicate this to my favorite fanfiction author, @potatoyoghurt

DISCLAIMER - This is really poorly written, is unrealistic and the characters are shit because I wrote it when I was 14. If you want a decent story read drowning lessons :) After being expelled from every other school in the area, Frank is forced to join the only high school left - Belleville High. He has one last chance to get high school right, stay out of trouble, get good grades and actually graduate, he's off to a great start...until day one. New school, new friends, new plans, new goals. Unlike his parents would like, his goals for the year however are far from getting good grades, unless getting 'the D' counts as a good grade. Art probably wasn't a good subject to pick, especially as Frank is immediatley attracted to his art teacher, a Mr Way. The fact that it's illegal doesn't change anything, Frank's goal was to get into his teachers pants, legal or not. But of course after being unable to hold back it doesn't affect Gerard either, in fact the risk of being caught is half the fun, but is it love or is it just fucking? WARNING - Smut, trigger warning and alcohol abuse.

Frank Iero hates children, with their high-pitched voices and tiny little hands. But of all of the children that irritate him, Ms. Way's kindergarten class is the worst. And of course, that's where Frank is stuck volunteering for the next two months.

Gerard is in love with Frank. He doesn't tell anyone. Frank is in love with Gerard. He doesn't tell anyone either. They cope with their feelings so different but yet all the same. Fanfiction. Gerard writes a lot of Frerard fanfics. He's actually a very well known "fangirl" in the MCR fanfiction fandom. Frank however, loves reading Frerard fanfiction and does it all the time. Little do they know that Gerard writes the fanfics that Frank reads.

Frank Iero meets a man in a bar one night when he's drinking as a minor. Gets a ride home, and then the next few days, he finds out this mysterious man turns out to be someone he has to learn from, five days a week.
