It was common knowledge that the quirked were superior to the quirkless in every possible way. It was common knowledge that the quirkless were a useless minority, unneeded in today's advanced, superpowered society. Just because it's 'common' knowledge doesn't mean it's correct. Izuku Midoriya was a part of that 'useless' minority. And he was not inferior in any way.

Deku's parents got into an arguement one night, waking young Izuku. The outcome left him alone with his (slightly mentally abusive) father. Because of the quirk he grew up with, many people hated and bullied him until high school. Things change when one unfortunate incident after another occur, he's been scouted by a group of villains, and his already bad habits and dark thoughts get worse and worse. Izuku Yagi had a caring family until he was diagnosed quirkless at age 4. From then on he was neglected and bulled every day but his sister Izumi Yagi and his "friends" Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki.
