The Fledgling Isles have 13 thriving provinces, each with a Master and Misstress to care for their peoples. And the world is Changing, Growing, Exspanding, and New Life is Taking Root. There once was a Prophecy, or a Song, or a Poem-it has since been forgotten which-that said in a certain year, in a certain hour on a certain day, a Child would be born who would Make or Break the world. When the Misstress of Rook castle gave birth to Her second daughter, She claimed the girl had been born the day after the certain time, and hence couldn't possibly be The Child. But She Lied. The only Lie she had ever Felt, Thought or Spoken. She Lied to Protect Her Child, who She Knew was The One. And was in ever so much danger because of it. And everyone suspected She had Lied. But nobody said so, for they knew better than to disrespect She who was so Unequivocally Pure, so Whole Heartedly Loved, and who everyone knew did not Lie. And so they pretended to believe her, and agree, that Moriya couldn't possibly be The Child, for how could the Prophecy mistake the certain time? Or Song, or Poem, Nobody quite remembered. "Mocks Orphanage for the Lonely" has sent Polly, Lily, Jason and Mr Nelson on a camping trip out in the woods, a very bad idea. After they get lost and can't find the camp sight, strange and magical things start to happen.. Throughout the journey, the characters learn much about themselves and each other, more than they ever expected was there, and they all become ultimately more forgiving, caring, understanding and capable. Polly (Po, not Polly, Never Polly) not only finds a very faithful companion, but also touches upon a blinding, shining and remarkably healing part deep down inside herself, and is astounded by changes it makes. Jason (who isn't even one of the orphans but desperately wanted to go on a camping trip with them,) finds that there is much more to life than cartoons and disobeying his parents, and also grows a lot as a person. And Lily gets abducted which ends up helping her heal from losing her family as a child. (Oh and Mr Nelson gets enlightened.)
