Han Jisung, having risen to fame very quickly as a young singer, seems to attract the wrong attention everywhere he goes. Lee Minho, his bodyguard of nearly two years, is vigilant in keeping him safe, in more ways than one. But what happens when Minho grows far more protective than he has been in the past? What happens when danger looms and feelings spiral? An overprotective bodyguard. A sweet, clumsy singer.

Jisung was quiet and reserved. Comfortable in his life as an elementary school teacher. But one of the downsides of his job was the pay- it wasn't enough. In order to keep the house he worked hard for, he's forced to search for a roommate. Enter Minho, a kind uncle by day and an underground boxer by night. And a man looking for a place to live. They find a way to be the perfect roommates, and with their differing schedules, it's easy to live around each other. But eventually their mutual interest grows. The only time life isn't pulling them in opposite directions is between the time Jisung returns home and when Minho leaves-- just before sunset. Before long, sunset becomes Jisung's favorite time of day.

Tensions were already high in the palace of Brinevale Kingdom, but when the Crown Prince, Jisung is targeted by an assassin, that tension cracks. Upon stopping the assassin, he learns his own father, the king, hired the killer- and everything crumbles. In a moment of need, Jisung forces the mysterious assassin to help him escape the castle- and eventually fight his way back to the throne. Through this unique journey, trust is tested, bonds stretch, and love creates a tie impossible to break- but a tie that could destroy everything.

All Han Jisung has known is life in the mafia. From stealing on frozen streets to living the high life of a talented informant, he's been able to take whatever life throws at him. That is, until his team, Nightfield, goes after the notorious rogue mafia don, Lee Minho. After a failed mission and a tense encounter, Jisung's life is thrown upside-down. Through Minho, he learns more about his blurry, unclear past, about who he is, and what love can mean in such a dark world.
