Laurent had given Larry the strength he needed to face his pain, and Larry had soothed the ache in Laurent's soul like no one else could. After facing the past together and after all they'd put to rest, it was hard to imagine that either of them had any more secrets or darkness to threaten the life they'd begun to build. But sometimes the demons of our past hide in corners we can't see until it's too late.
