Every year in Avvelon, every child who is 17 is led down a tunnel and to three doors. Each is labeled with a 1, 2, or 3. The child then walks through the door of their choice, and comes out a different person. One door gives a comfort life. The second gives a wealthy life. The third hasn't been chosen in a century. The last child to choose it has never come back. The Elders refuse to tell anyone what is behind the doors. Everyone has learned from their parents. But, no one knows about the third door and what lies behind. What door will Emma Vasquez choose?
