My feet hit a particularly slippery patch. Without warning they rocketed out from under me. Mr. Break and Enter came with me, courtesy of me re-establishing my grip in his shirt in a failed attempt at anchoring myself. Pain started in my backside and travelled up my spine, but I was paying it minimal attention. I was too busy being consumed by the heavy weight on top of me and marvelling over the deep smooth voice muttering in my ear. “- never doing the old man another favour, so long as I live.” Before I could collect my scattered thoughts the person on top of me reared back to rest his weight on his elbows, an action that caused his hips to press down into mine. My breath caught in my throat as my startled gaze met his. A pair of vibrant green eyes stared back with more than a hint of annoyance bleeding out of them. Full lips were pressed together like he was biting back an insult directed at me, and locks of black hair framed a near symmetrical face, one with high cheekbones and a strong jaw line. “If you’re going to kill me, I’d prefer it if you didn’t do it with an axe,” I blurted. I immediately cursed my runaway mouth. Come on, brain, where are you? Time to join the conversation. Dark brows drew together and he leaned even closer, almost like he was trying to assess my sanity levels. “What?” Embarrassment was pushed back in favour of deep suspicion. “Well, if you’re not here to kill us then I guess you want to rob us. Go ahead. Annabel has some expensive luggage that will sell for a nice buck. And take her Hello Kitty collection while you’re at it. None of us will be sorry to see those creepy cats go.” The boy on top of me shifted his weight and used one of his hands to brush the curls back from my face. With a gentleness that surprised me, he cupped one of my cheeks. “Are you okay?” he asked, clearly concerned. “Did you hit your head when you fell?”

A strategic planner, her future is set: graduate top of her class from the Hilliard Ballet Academy, and join a prestigious ballet company that tours the world and would ultimately gain her international stardom. But when the unthinkable happens, destroying Alysix's innocence, self esteem, and trust in everything around her, things change. Her whole world caves, leaving her bitter and broken. Unable to move past it, Alyxis ends up on a downwards spiral and her dreams become simply that: useless dreams. Worried about her wellbeing, her parents send her to live with her Aunt Sadie, hoping the change from her hectic city life will do her good. But will a new scenery and break from constant high expectations be enough to bring back the old Alyxis? Or will the weight of what she has suffered prove too much and swallow the last fractured pieces of her soul, leaving nothing but emptiness and resentment behind? Axl Swanson is as cynical as they come thanks to years of disappointment from a consistently absent father and countless betrayals by a selfish mother. End result: a mental armour so thick he considers himself immune to people's empty promises, lies, and deceitful behaviour. Such a blatantly flippant attitude ensures that he has no real friends, something that Suits Axl just fine as it means nobody can get close enough to hurt him. Determined to remain untouchable, he does his best to ignore the New York transfer student Alyxis Dasher whose haunted eyes and skittish tendencies pique his curiosity. But when a unexpected encounter with Alyxis in the school gym leads Axl to believe she is facing some pretty big demons of her own, things change. He has a decision to make. Will he break his well honed anti social habits to get closer to the one person who could potentially end up hurting him the most? Or will seventeen years of injustices and the fear they've i

"You think yourself a fateful captain and the rest of these human mongrels as your loyal crew, but your ship is sinking. Open your eyes Nelson. Earth is imploding, and you're powerless to stop it. You won't stop it." "I will" Cecil bellowed a humorless laugh in response as he stalked off in the direction of his base camp with the three corpses in tow. "Oh, and Nell? Don't forget, a captain always goes down with their ship." •••*•••~•••*•••~•••*•••~•••*•••~•••*•••~ Earth is sent into havoc after the release of an airborne alien chemical throughout the planet ravages the human population, decimating both young and old alike. Once children and adults tragically succumb to the lethal effects of the toxin, leaving only misguided teens to face the after-effects of the alien fallout, Earth essentially becomes what many dub a 'teenage wasteland.' As for those behind the horrific deed, they believe that they've set Earth up for 'auto-destruct' and excitedly await for the tarnished planet to crash and burn under the control of its misguided youth. Nell and her makeshift team of 'heroes,' however, are on a mission to bring salvation to their world and prove those alien freaks wrong. However, being a teenager is hard enough as it is without the added stress of keeping the world in check after mass genocide, and with the threat of alien chemicals, identity crises, reckless adventures, death, and unconventional love looming in the air, will Nell be able to survive long enough to help pull the planet back together? The mission won't be easy; Earth hangs in the balance of adolescence as other worlds excitedly await its doom. But there's no telling what may happen in this teenage wasteland. •••*•••~•••*•••~•••*•••~•••*•••~•••*•••~ Amazing cover made by infinityhope0.

It started on Wattpad but now is EVERYWHERE! With a bestselling book by WWBG, a captivating Webcomic on Webtoon, and a film adaptation by Wattpad WEBTOON studios, you can read, scroll, or watch - there's an experience for everyone to dive into Waverly and Blake's journey. ***** In order to fit in during her summer visit to a beachside town, Waverly must take swimming lessons from Blake, the moody (but gorgeous) lifeguard next door. ***** Seventeen-year-old Waverly Lyons is from Alaska. She doesn't do sun. But after her divorced parents can't agree on who gets to have her for the summer, Waverly gets shipped off to Holden, Florida, to spend a couple months with her aunt, Rachel. There's one minor hiccup: Blake Hamilton, Rachel's seventeen-year-old neighbor. He's athletic, outgoing, arrogant, tan, and pretty much Waverly's exact opposite. She's eager to avoid him at all costs, hoping to fit in with the other kids in Holden without drawing too much attention to herself. But when Blake discovers that Waverly has been hiding the rather embarrassing secret that she can't swim, he does the unthinkable: He offers to teach her. [[word count: 100,000-150,000 words]]

Everything happens for a reason. It’s what Ioney Mercer tells herself whenever she pauses to think about the circumstances of her life. Why did her older brother die? Why did her mother leave her with five brothers and sisters to raise? Why did the only person she’d ever fallen in love with have to go? Because everything happens for a reason. Saying it was one thing. Believing it was another. And recently, the mantra had started sounding more like an annoying show tune that could easily be tuned out rather than the unfailing piece of truth she needed it to be. But then, one silly little saying could only get you so far when your life was on the line yet again. More importantly, it meant absolutely nothing when your family was being targeted as well. Things are starting to shake up in Chicago. Callahan Cordero has been released from prison. His first order of business: Revenge on the person responsible for putting him there. With nowhere to run or hide, Ioney has no choice but to engage the enemy head on. The only question left to ask is whether she will stand alone, or if help will come from the most unlikely of places.
