Modern Day AU/OOC: Katniss is a mute girl desperate to die. Peeta is a cancer patient desperate to live. Their lives are on the opposite sides of the spectrum. When Katniss joins a website called The Reaping, which gives her 23 days to live before she must finally take her life, she thinks she is ready for death. With many botched attempts in her trail, she is determined not to mess up this last time. Those 23 days, however, were going to shift her entire world around. She meets Peeta, a boy who'd relapsed so many times but still had hope for a better tomorrow. His ability to laugh and smile despite his condition fascinates Katniss and the more they interact, the more weary she becomes of the prospect of dying. Can she learn the sanctity of life before the 23 days are up? Peeta has no choice. But Katniss does.

This is situated after the 74th Annual Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta just got back to District12 and Peeta just learned that for Katniss their love story was all an act. Although he's sad, his world brightens when he sees his lifelong best friend, Delly Cartwright. Katniss actually fell in love with Peeta but is having a hard time realizing it. Delly can see through Katniss and knows there's just one way to help her realize. Jealously. Peeta and Delly make a plan: they'll pretend to be dating in front of Katniss but Katniss and Peeta will still have to act in love for the Cameras. Soon enough Katniss realizes her feelings for Peeta, but what if Delly fell in love with Peeta for real? What if Peeta is starting to fall in love with Delly? This story is based on after Mockingjay. This story is all about the Epilogue. And we all know what happens in the Epilogue. This fanfic takes place 7 years after the War. Peeta and Katniss move on with their lives as a married couple. And so many unexpected things happen along the way. With all these events going on, will Peeta and Katniss get through them?
