It's been months since Camelot has been saved from King Arthur by Sonic the Hedgehog. Now announced the new ruler, he has a burden to keep. But this burden takes a toll on him. He misses his home, Mobius. And wants to get back as soon as possible (first book of the Rebirth Series!).

The cover art was drawn by me! You know how it goes: Sonic, turned Werehog, recovers the Chaos Emeralds and pieces the world back together again with his companion Chip as the two team up to seal away Dark Gaia from destroying it. This story is different though, for it's not what you think it is. What if Sonic had to become Dark Gaia to save the world? Instead of losing the energy zapped into him, Sonic absorbs more of it to the point where he transforms into Dark Gaia itself after loosing his Werehog form. With the last bit of his sanity, Sonic sacrifices himself to save the world that he once knew and loved, casting away his old life in the process. The years pass with many thinking that Sonic is, well, dead. Except for his friends. They want to find the proof that he's still alive, and that they can bring him home safely. During those years, Sonic has grown attached to his new life as Dark Gaia, the Earth god of darkness, counterpart to Light Gaia, and caretaker of Abyss. Sonic one day hoped to return home, but knows that he can't, which was the only con about his new life. The pros being that he had Chip, his son Lucius, and Abyss with him through thick and thin, as well as being able to perform magic. When Sonic finds out that he could travel to the surface world and change back into his normal self, he does so to be reunited with his friends. Now Sonic must face the challenge of balancing his double life as the famous blue hero on the surface and being Dark Gaia underground. He has to keep this all a secret from his friends, including his nemesis Dr. Eggman, but can he do so before they find out?

Eggman's latest scheme causes an ancient being known as Dark Gaia to awaken, causing the world to break apart. In a sudden, unexpected turn of events, Sonic finds himself granted the power of Light Gaia though the form of the Brighthog. With his new friend Midnight, a creature with no memory of his true identity and his connection to Dark Gaia, Sonic must race across the globe to restore each piece of the planet before it's too late. Yep I'm writing another Sonic Unleashed AU, but instead it's a retelling of the game with a new twist: instead of Sonic taking on the form of the Werehog, he takes on the form of the Brighthog, a form infused with Light Gaia's power. It basically follows under the what if category where it's what if Sonic gained a Light Gaia infused form instead of the Werehog. FubukiVolt helped me out with the chapters while I own the AU as whole. She also drew the cover!

The human characters in this are solely my creation. The Cybertronians are very few and none are of my creation. * It's been years since the Cybertronian War has ceased, allowing the humans to finally live their lives in peace. The Apple of Eden, against everything that was ever thought about it, has been destroyed. The Templars have been killing every Assassin they can find without a second thought as they believe they are no longer useful. One day, as a young Assassin is on a mission but is caught by Templars! They force her into an Animus, causing her mind to dive into a recent past, one that still has the Cybertronians. An ally comes and pulls her out of the Animus after several days. Now, she's seeing strange images, pictures but not symbols. Pushing them together, they form a strange sword that has a powerful aura. With a team, she goes on an adventure to find each piece of the sword. Shockingly enough, each piece is also guarded by a famous Cybertronian from the war. Just as luck would have it, the Templars also find out about the sword and do everything in their power to ensure the Assassins don't get their hands on a single piece. Will the Assassins ensure that humanity is safe or will the Templars rise on top?
