Summer is most often depicted with happy and fun thoughts, and it certainly was exactly that for the 7 teens over the 2 months spent at Hacketts Quarry Summer Camp. But after they unexpectedly can't make it home, the councilors decide to celebrate their turn of events by partying. This was their first mistake. Their night ended with blood, tears, violence and trauma, which was not at all how Dylan Lenivy - the one who suggested the party in the first place - had imagined their night would go. !The Quarry! This fanfic takes place after the events of The Quarry. All the counselor's survived, including the Hacketts. Months have passed since the incident that occured at Hacketts Quarry summer camp. But things haven't gotten any easier for Ryan Erzahler, who has overdue assignments, rising anxiety and having the other counselors moving on with their lives, when Ryan finds he simply cannot get those horrifying images out of his head. But worst of all, Dylan Lenivy; Ryan's summer crush, and now: the boy he is in love with has been in an unresponsive coma for a few months due to immense blood loss in his wrist where Ryan had amputated his hand impulsively due to a deadly infection. And Ryan can't help but blame himself for this event.

The night of the end of the summer camp turned out to be the most horrifying incident for the youthful counsellors, leaving all nine of them wholly shaken and terrorised. Some were fortunate enough to have only as much as a scratch, while some had not been so lucky, per se. Dylan, who has been trying his hardest after the tragic incident to look at the world from a hopeful lens, only ends up seeing it from a black and white perspective despite his deepest efforts. But the world has it out for Dylan as it seems what he thought was over, was only just the beginning. The youngsters once again reunite, they stand stronger than before and more than ready to face the danger head-on. But will it be enough for all of them to drag themselves out of the menace?
