- Set in The Death Cure - Where the boys try to rescue Minho. But everything happens too fast, they see Gally again, Newt gets infected, Thomas tries to save him.... But when Newt dies in Thomas' arms, everything seems to fall apart for him. When he wakes up from his coma and sees that the blond is no longer by his side, the world falls apart. He can't get over the loss, and even though his friends are already trying, he's still stuck, trapped. The guilt eats him up inside, the secret of what he has done that only he knows. But what Thomas doesn't know is that Newt is alive, rescued by the people who are against the Right Arm, according to George. And everyone knows that but Thomas and Sonya, who think Newt is dead. How will they ever meet again if they are divided into two groups that hate each other's guts?

This is a Newtmas fanfic. Its basically the maze runner story, but with NEWTMAS becoming canon. Hope you like it!
