Belle needed a quiet place to paint. What she got... was The House. Described by her cousin as "quaint" and "full of character," the old mansion on the isolated farm is anything but. The house smells like something died in it in 1893 and never quite left. The lights don't work, the clocks don't agree, and the walls seem to whisper when the storm rolls in. Charming. Cut off from the outside world as the weather turns vicious, Belle is not alone. There's a man-warm, strong, kind, and very distracting... except for one small problem: She's not entirely sure he is real. Because this house doesn't behave. Doors don't always lead where they should. Time slips. Shadows remember. And sometimes, the past doesn't just echo-it replays. As old journals, strange dreams, and terrifying moments she can't explain bring together fragments of history, Belle begins to uncover tragedies that were never meant to be buried. But the house isn't just remembering. It's waiting... Funny, haunting, and quietly heartbreaking, The House is a story about love, loss, revenge, and the secrets that refuse to stay buried. This story contains themes of psychological horror, violence, and disturbing imagery. Reader discretion is advised. Genre: Mystery/Humour/Romance This is a work of fiction. Standalone Sweet Romance:- Some misunderstandings last a lifetime. Others just need one more holiday to fix them. Sabrina Quinn has her plan for this holiday all worked out. Step one: Avoid Cole Sumpter. Step two: Definitely avoid Cole Sumpter. This plan flies out the window the moment she sees him, and her heart remembers the boy she spent so many of her happiest moments with. Cole-the boy with the sun-bleached hair, surfer smile, and the annoying ability to act like nothing in the world bothers him-hasn't joined their combined family holidays in 15 months. Which would be fine... if Sabrina didn't still remember exactly how their last holiday together ended-and how much it hurt. Now they're stuck together for one more holiday before their lives change forever. Sabrina is heading into her final year of high school, and Cole is about to start university. Between ridiculous arguments, awkward almost-moments, and a misunderstanding that refuses to die, Sabrina is starting to suspect something that gives her hope: Maybe Cole isn't as nonchalant as he pretends. And maybe their story is only just beginning.

ONC2025 Rafe Daring is not a hero known for his bravery. He is a farm boy known for being stubborn, cheeky, and doing things haphazardly, which always leads to chaos. When he flees town on his motorcycle, chased by the boy he'd turned into his nemesis, Rafe veers from safety to avoid his enemy. He ventures onto a strangled path through the forbidden forest, a vast stretch of access-restricted nature reserve bordering his family's farm. As with most of his decisions, this one also leads to disaster. Soon, Rafe finds himself injured and lost at the bottom of a steep slope, trying to find his way home. When he stumbles into a briar vine-covered wall, he decides that his only way home might be through what appears to be an archway clogged by vines. However, he is unprepared for what waits for him when he breaks through the thick, thorny briar vines. Finding himself in an increasingly dangerous and confusing situation, he realises that this time, he'd outdone himself in the art of making extraordinarily bad decisions. He has one question that stands out above all his other questions: "Who would be dumb enough to give an idiot like me superpowers?!" TW: Some chapters might have upsetting themes; reader discretion is advised. ONC2025 Prompt 1: You stumble upon a mysterious door made entirely of briars and thorns. As you step through, you're granted extraordinary powers. But with great power comes great responsibility - it's now your duty to save the crumbling kingdom. Word Count (WP Web) = 39 269

He's Irish Sass in a jersey. She's chaos in sequins. What could possibly go wrong? Galen McKenna has one rule: don't fall in love. Or fall over. Or fall at all, really-he's a hockey player, not a romantic hero. When the Irish wildcard lands a golden ticket to Crystalcrest Ice Hockey Academy, he's determined to finally get his act together, keep his past in the rearview, and definitely avoid screwing things up. Again. His plan? Train hard. Stay focused. No drama. Don't be a melter! Too bad nobody warned him about the glitter tornado on skates living in his new home. Hunter Fairlane lives to skate. She's got a championship to win, a promise to keep, and a skating partner who'd rather sulk than spin. But when Galen crashes-literally-into her life, the last thing she expects is for her heart to start skipping beats. She's skating for love. He's skating for redemption. When attraction sparks between the boy who's afraid to feel and the girl who feels everything, the ice might just melt under their feet. This stand-alone novel, featuring Galen McKenna, is a spin-off from my soapie, Hunting the Fairy Tale. No prior knowledge is required.

Petibone is a messenger goblin girl assigned various tasks/passing messages. Prompts shaped the story. I should mention that my little goblin moves in the same fantasy world as the heroes of Morte, the lost heir. And sometimes, the heroes of the two stories also meet or visit the same places. *First place, the highest score of the Fantasmical 2024 contest* This is my entry for the Fantasmical 2024. For the Slates, demon slaying is the family business. And eighteen-year-old Perrin has fully embraced her chosen profession. But when her sister, fifteen-year-old Ace, declares she's ready to join the cause, Perrin has her reservations. First of all, the case she's picked involves not one, but three demonic foes. A tricky proposition for any new slayer. Second, something eerily familiar lurks at the heart of the infested town. A red-eyed presence that may or may not be the demon who murdered their brother a decade ago. Third, Ace refuses to listen. To reason, to orders, to sense. And in this line of work, one false move can get you killed. Along with their exasperated father and an overeager grocery store clerk, Perrin and Ace set out to raise a little hell and bag a trio of baddies. But demons aren't the only ones to fear. And as enemies close in on all sides, the Slates will need to trust each other and their training to stay one step ahead of the coming storm.
