#1 Mystery | #1 Thriller | #1 Young Adult Have you ever known someone more than you know yourself? Known them so inside out that you could finish their sentences and know what they're thinking, just with a glance? That was Casey and I. We were the ultimate best friends. We knew more than we should about each other. I was hopelessly and undeniably in love with him. I still remember the day perfectly. I wish I could say there was something to hint that it was coming. There was nothing. I thought I knew everything about him. Apparently not. He killed himself and a part of me died along with him. He was dead, and so was I. Or, so I thought. ** Cover by Reachingformorex ** © 2017 by LaurenJ22. All rights reserved.

Before the enchantment breaks, Selkie thinks she's just an average teenage girl... It's the beginning of summer vacation, and everyone at Selkie Stewart's Boston high school is excited. Except for Selkie, who sees herself standing at the edge of an abyss of Nothing To Do. Selkie doesn't want to spend her summer scouring the kitchen for gnomes with her crazy aunts or mooning over the enigmatic boy on Boston Common. So instead Selkie goes in search of a job. What she finds is a new best friend, a cute boy who might be more than he seems, and even more question about her mother and her past — and a sense that Selkie's adventures are just beginning. Don't miss this enchanting prequel to the exciting summer debut of The Girl Who Never Was. More than 60 million people are currently fleeing conflict or persecution around the world. Due to their race, religion or nationality, these people's homes are no longer safe places to live and their governments no longer provide them with protection. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) works around the world to provide refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) with everything they need from psychological care to lifesaving nutrition. We set up hospitals in refugee camps, we help women give birth safely, we vaccinate children to prevent epidemics and we provide access to safe drinking water. Here, some of our teams share their stories.

In the wake of the Great War, and an epidemic that had had ripped the country to shreds, 1919 dawned as Britain slowly pieced itself back together. Few families had not suffered loss and heartache, but life must go on, and a new decade was on the horizon. The Crawford's were a respectable London family of inherent wealth and good social standing. But the war and its aftermath had not discriminated on wealth or power and they had not escaped the heartbreak. The London socialite scene no longer held the appeal it once had, so when a new opportunity landed at their doorstep, Catherine Crawford was quick to take up the offer. Marchwood Hall was an idyllic retreat. A quaint country manor where the family could escape the busy city life, and take time to heal. But Marchwood Hall had seen its own share of heartbreak and tragedy. Closed up and abandoned, for too long it had lain in wait, in want of someone with whom to share its secrets. Pain and blood are some things the Crawfords just can't leave behind.
