Emma Myers has been working for the Operative for about four years. They're a clandestine group of spies working as a part of MI6 to manage matters of country security. This is the only job Emma's ever known, and she's one of the best. Over the years, Emma's heard the whispers of the League, a dangerous group of assassins that seem to run opposite the Operative in terms of goals and outcomes. What Emma never expected was that she might find herself closely tangling with one of the league's best, Jenna Ortega. They keep crossing paths, but then one day, Jenna just disappears and goes dark. That is, until she shows up in Emma's hotel room, suddenly needing Emma's help.

When Wednesday returned to Nevermore after the leave they were given on account of the battle, she found she saw her roommate and best friend, Enid, in a completely different light. She, herself, was new to these feelings that had overtaken her. Enid, too, experienced new things over the holidays. Not all good, and it had affected her greatly. Could Wednesday break out of her shell to be close enough to Enid to help her? And, did Enid share the same feelings as Wednesday?

Wednesday had been intending to exceed her historical record of carrying 56 different weapons on her person for some time now, but the goal had fallen down her list of priorities in favour of more pressing pursuits. She's delighted the day she realises she has beaten that number by 10 without even trying for it. Enid, watching Wednesday make this discovery from the other side of the quad lunch table, crumples a whole metal fork in her hand mindlessly, blushing furiously. Yoko reaches an arm over Bianca to push Enid's jaw closed, murmuring to Enid that she can stop drooling now. The rest of the school population within hearing and sight range of this event immediately gains an additional 20 feet of distance or more away from Wednesday. There's at least one shriek of terror. Three people faint. All have just become aware of the fact that their resident void of darkness has gained some wickedly sharp claws and teeth and looks uncannily delighted about using them. ... The semester ended on an abrupt note. The fight with Crackstone and Tyler took a toll on Enid and Wednesday, even if neither wanted to admit it. After the short break, Wednesday is eager to find out who this stalker is. But when Enid doesn't show up, Wednesday gets suspicious. Or is this suspicion worry for the colorful wolf she may have come to love? But she can't help but wonder if Enid is the stalker. Or has something terrible happend? In this story Enid and Wednesday have grown apart slowly forgetting about each other. but one day as Wednesday applied to a job she had ran into one of her old colleagues, Enid. having no memory of each other they just apologize and walked off heading to different directions. what will happen? will they realize they were made for each other?! or forget they once were lovers
