This story follows two 17 year olds competing for the love of one another despite religious barriers.

Penelope pouts her lips and squeezes her eyeballs shut, scrunching her nose. "What the hell are you doing?" "I'm thinking." "Looks like a lot of effort to think." ~~ Penelope is a local sunshine girl trying to get through life and make friends. She's always optimistic and tries to find the best in people, even if those people, are the ones that hurt her. Parker is a grumpy, mechanic. His mind is always racing and body always tense. He doesn't express himself way others do. He's cold, and arrogant, until a little sunshine comes into his life.
