**YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ THE BITE FIRST TO READ THIS** When strange events start happening on the pack line, Levi Alexander Thorne is eager to prove to his father Luca, alpha of the Tikanni pack, that he can handle it. But what Levi didn't expect, was to run into Eve Everette, youngest daughter of Emmett Everette the alpha of the Mangata pack and enemy of his father's. The two packs have not intermingled in years, most people call wolves from Mangata "ghosts" because they are rarely seen and if there's one thing that every Tikanni wolf knows, it's not to walk that line. But Levi doesn't give a damn. He has a job to do, ghost wolves or not. However Eve is certainly not a ghost, if anything, she's a vision of bright flaming red hair who happens to be his mate. He's an arrogant male, and she's a stubborn female--both of them from the wrong side of the pack line. But the moon has her reason and her will. Levi is not about to let Eve walk away from him, but Eve isn't just going to simply walk over the line. When there's a fine line between love and annoyed as hell, both of them learn that love demands more than compromise. Until one of them bends, they both will have to walk a dangerous line. This prequel to The Bite, will feature some of your favorite characters and add a few new ones! Follow Levi with his favorite shadow, also known as his younger brother Lander "The Love Doctor," Eve and her older brother who she wishes wasn't right all the time, the always wise and graceful Claire, David and his almost best friend Billy, and a few fun vampires that really only like to cause the right amount of trouble mixed with fun. ***You do not need to read The Bite to enjoy this! However, if you want to read the story first, then you'll definitely love what I have in store for you! So make sure this is added to your libraries so you get the updates***

I slammed my hands hard in the wall, trapping her between me and the wall. A growl came from deep in my chest, a warning for her to stop pushing me away in every way, like she always does. I could hear her heart beating faster than normal, I could smell the arousal coming off her along with defiance and stubbornness. I leaned in closer to her to the point where our noses nearly touched, "Tell me the truth". She kept her eyes on mine in a clear challenge for dominance of the situation, "I owe you nothing". I grabbed her throat without thinking about it, I will get the truth one way or another, no matter what. --- He is an Alpha, a dominant, powerful male. "Stop. Stop, please." I sob as the whip comes down on my back once more. "Shut up yo-" my tormentor's words are cut off by a ferocious growl. I sense another masculine figure in the dark room, but can't make out a word he's shouting. The burning and searing pain that I'm experiencing is just too much. A sickening snap is heard and something drops onto the cold, stone flooring. The chains around my wrists and ankles are broken along with the tight metal collar around my neck. "Mate." my rescuer growls, gently cradling me in his arms. ********************* Charlotte Beck has been tortured and abused by the Red Stone pack ever since she turned eight. She doesn't know why they hate her or how she ended up a lower rank than the Omegas; no one even bothered to label her as a slave. She has never known the true meaning of love or how it felt like, all Charlotte knows is that her pack surely doesn't feel that way about her. Finding a mate was a dream that was thrown out the window long ago; all of the verbal abuse led her to believe that she didn't deserve one. It's not until she attempts to escape again that she realizes that she has a chance of living a better life, one where abuse isn't an everyday thing. Xander Reynolds, Alpha of the Lunar Shadow pack, finds her when she's taken to his cells as a trespassing prisoner. Traumatized and high on fear, she struggles to let down her walls. Her real home is with a man who she cannot remember and a brother who she wishes she remembered. (Unedited) Rejection hurts. It can break many people apart. Slowly crushing their souls and silencing their wolfs forever. Unfortunately, that happened to Christina Prior. Ever since she was little, she always dreamed about getting a mate. Growing up, she soon faced the reality that her own soul mate didn't want her, but her gorgeous best friend. The one thing that would help her wolf and herself heal from the damage was to leave the pack and disappear. She did just that. Now three years later, she returns back to her pack not as a badass she-wolf, but a dying wolf. She has terminal cancer with only three months left. Let's just say that it would be nice to hear someone say "Don't Leave."
