This story is after Goku had destroyed Frieza and didn't come back for along time. Vegeta was staying in the forest with Gohan trying to help him by giving him food and other things necessary. Goku comes back and kills Frieza again instead of Trunks killing Frieza and Goku saw Vegeta and thought of getting a new home for him, and soon takes him to Bulma.

Isn't having one long lost sibling enough? Apparently not for Vegeta. Turns out The Prince has an older sister who just so happens to be younger than him.
