"Sunny, I want to be honest with you." He took his hand off of hers. "I'm not good with relationships that are more than friends, and half the time I can't even keep female friends." Sunny nodded her head gently. "The more you hang out with me and around here, Sunny, the more you're going to hear about it. I have a long list of one night stands and flings and-and I don't.... Sunny, I don't want you on that list. I don't want to do that to you. I'm not the saint you think I am." She dropped her eyes down to her hands. Her fingertips traced a scar along the back of her hand. "And you think I am?" Severide said nothing. Sunny shifted around on the bench and leaned against his shoulder. "We have a lot more in common than you think, Kelly Severide." DISCLAIMER I do not own any of the Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Fire characters. I only have the rights to my characters.

[Seasons 9&10 of Chicago P.D] Spencer's a mess as she tries to recover from what she had just endured at the end of book 3. Thankfully, with the help of her husband, team, friends, and kids, she makes it through it and is able to see another day. Everything went back to normal for her. For about a day. Until it wasn't. When Spencer's heart is shattered by losing one of the most important people in her life, she turns to the only thing she knows; self sabotage. But her marriage with Jay is strong enough to pull her out of it, right? Is it? Does their marriage last? Can Jay bring his wife back when she falls down a rabbit hole he once watched his former partner Erin Lindsay fall down? If the job doesn't kill them, maybe love will. Maybe loving somebody with everything you have is the most foolish and dangerous thing you could do. But hey, if loves boring, what's the point? Maybe this time, the darkness is too much. Maybe this time, it's too strong. Maybe this time, the darkness consumes Spencer before Jay can save her. He's saved her before, what happens if this time he can't? Maybe this is it. For them. For her. For him. For their love. Maybe this is the end of endings. Maybe. "She's gone, Jay." "He's gone, Spencer." [DISCLAIMER] I did not invent one Chicago, nor do I claim to have. I do not own the original One Chicago cast who are played by their respectable actors. I only own the rights to my independent storylines and my own characters I have created. The most elite unit in CPD. The unit everyone wants to be in. Intelligence is the place people work their whole lives to get to. Everybody wants the job, but nobody knows the truth. When Spencer agreed to transfer to intelligence, she wasn't signing up for all the blood, sweat, tears and pain it came with. But hey, it's a package deal. Nobody is every truly a clean cop, are they? If you work under Hank Voight, you're somewhat dirty. Working in intelligence means that sometimes you have to get your hands a little bloody. A little dirty. It means that sometimes you have to cross lines. Sometimes you have to put aside your morals. Sometimes you have to flip that switch that controls your humanity and turn it off. If you don't do that, the job will eat you up and ruin you. But maybe that's why that select group of people live for that job so much. They're the ones that learned to love the pain. They're the warriors who make chicago what it is. They're the ones who built that city. They were born for it. [DISCLAIMER] I did not invent one Chicago, nor do I claim to have. [Book 3 of the Kate Meadows/ Hank Voight Series] 'What if I'm just chasing ghosts?' Kate had almost lost herself in a dark, bottomless pit of desperation searching for her father's killers but, even if she did find the people responsible, he still wouldn't be here with them to watch his granddaughter clap her little hands together as Hank extinguished the candle atop her first birthday cake with an exaggerated puff. But, if she did, perhaps she would finally find some semblance of peace knowing that those who had taken these little moments from them had been rightly served justice they deserved.
