Around a year after they have returned from Narnia Edmund falls ill and the doctors believe they cannot save them. A message from Aslan reaches the Pevensies; they can save Edmund if they go to Narnia, for the illness will not exist in that world. All 4 can go, but Edmund will never be able to return, for if he does he will die. When the siblings arrive in Narnia they hear Caspian has called them, for trouble has been stirring. How can 3 kings and 2 queens rule 1 country, with 2 very differently opinionated people. And how can 2 brothers deal with the fact that their closest friends is falling in love with their sister?

How exactly is one supposed to live their regular, old life after experiencing Narnia in all its glory? The Pevensies knew that feeling all too well, and now, Mary is in the same predicament. A year after her adventures with the Pevensie siblings and Prince Caspian, Mary can't help but view her life as boring as it could possibly get.
