Zoey Francis is the Slayer of about five years, and she has the sister of Dawn Francis, and the mother of Layla Francis. She died a year ago to protect her sister Dawn from death and was brought back by her friends, torn away from Heaven and sent to live in this world that could be called Hell in comparison. It took a long time for Zoey to feel anything, and the only people that could really get her to feel were her mother, her sister, and the vampire that she was not supposed to fall for, Spike. Now, Spike has gone off and got his soul back to return to Zoey as someone who can love her with all his heart and soul, just as the First has declared war on everyone in Sunnydale, the Council, and every single Potential Slayer or actual Slayer in existence, including Zoey, Buffy and Faith. It could take everything for them to win the fight against the First, the Bringers, and the Uber vampires, and they lose quite a bit in the process. So, who comes out winning, and who comes out losing?

And with Buffy away all summer, and the Slayer away from the place she is supposed to be, Giles has opted to teaching Zoey even more about fighting, and how to hone her skills, so that she's better than ever. When Buffy returns, then the town will have two protectors to fight against the forces of darkness.
