Dit verhaal gaat over Sofia. In haar familie is het gebruikelijk dat kinderen van haar leeftijd gaan trouwen. Als je dan nog niet de ware heb gevonden als vrouw wordt er iemand gezocht in de kenniskring van je ouders. Je ouders kiezen een man uit waarvan ze zeker weten dat hij past bij jou. Als beide ouders het met elkaar eens zijn dan ontmoeten jullie elkaar. Sofia wordt deze keer opnieuw gekoppeld aan Gabriel door hun ouders. Sofia heeft heel veel mannen afgekeurd. Dit is de derde man waaraan ze wordt voorgesteld. Ze ontmoeten elkaar bij Gabriel thuis. Als het diner is gestart, komt Sofia erachter dat ze al verloofd is aan Gabriel. Later die avond wandelt ze buiten met Gabriel om hem te leren kennen. Dan komt ze erachter dat hij in hetzelfde ziekenhuis als Sofia werkt. Ze hebben het leuk en daarom prikken Sofia haar ouders een trouwdatum en zijn ze getrouwd binnen twee weken. Nadat ze terugkomen van hun huwelijksreis stort Gabriel zich op onderzoeken als een neurochirurg, maar voor Sofia is het gedaan met werken. Na hun huwelijksreis moet ze alleen thuis blijven, want vrouwen mogen niet blijven werken. Maar daar is Sofia het niet mee eens. Tijdens hun huwelijksreis komt Sofia erachter dat Gabriel geadopteerd is en dan invloed heeft op zijn kinderwensen en zijn vertrouwen in de mens in het aglemeen. Als ze weer thuis zijn komt Sofia erachter dat ze zwanger is geworden van Gabriel. Gabriel komt dronken thuis en dat zorgt voor problemen.
