What would it be like in a world where the killing game went differently? What would it be like if different people lived and different people died? What would it be like...if this story...had an entirely different hero. A rewrite of the game Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, where Mahiru Koizumi is the main hero instead of Hajime Hinata, and the death order and people who die in the killing game are different than in the original game. This fic is a sequel to Danganronpa ReProgrammed, a rewrite of the first Danganronpa game that features Chihiro Fujisaki as the main hero. Phantom Thieves of Hope is a crossover fanfiction combining two of my favorite video game series: Danganronpa and Persona 5. It centers around the main protagonists from the Danganronpa series forming their own version of the Phantom Thieves. In The Phantom X, there's a concept called Phantom Idols-cognitive beings formed in the Velvet Room based on the protagonist's perception. These cognitions are shaped from individuals the main character knows, has seen, or interacted with in some way, especially those with strong or once-strong desires. Since they support the protagonist like idols, Merope, the game's Velvet Attendant, refers to them as Phantom Idols. These Phantom Idols use Persona Duos, which are Personas created from Shadows in Mementos and the desires within the protagonist's cognition. In essence, this spinoff is an anthology of short stories featuring various characters from the Phantom Thieves of Hope universe reimagined as Phantom Idols. They assist the Phantom Thieves in their missions and are granted Personas and Phantom Thief identities they didn't have in the original story. This is a non-canon, just-for-fun side project that gets updated alongside the main fic.

The description is summed up by the title. I basically created an...AU of sorts. Essentially, I pondered what would happen if Persona 5's story, which is already incredible, was longer and had alternate plot details. The most important thing is this is NOT CANON! It's a fan-fic I created focused around one of my all time favourite video games. The primary thing you can expect from this story is the introduction of new Phantom thieves, palaces and more.
