Cover made by @harleyQuinnfan17 When seventeen-year-old Angelo "Angel" Daley-Richards is disowned by his father for being gay, he flees California in search of the only family he has left, his uncle, Lawrence Daley, in New York City. Reeling from the loss of his mother and years of rejection, Angel is determined to start over, even if that means sleeping on a couch and finding work as soon as possible. Larry, just hired as the new night guard at the American Museum of Natural History, is furious to learn how his nephew was treated, but also relieved to give Angel a fresh start. He pulls some strings to help Angel land a job at the museum as a junior night guard. But neither of them is prepared for the impossible secret hidden within its halls. When the sun sets, the exhibits come to life. Among ancient gods, wax figures, and mischievous animals, Angel finds himself drawn to one in particular: Pharaoh Ahkmenrah. Beautiful, wise, and trapped in time, the young pharaoh sees something in Angel that he's never seen before, someone who looks at him like he's not just a relic of the past, but someone worth loving. As Angel navigates his new life and his growing bond with Ahkmenrah, he'll discover that sometimes, healing begins in the most unexpected places... even in the heart of a museum after dark. - Started on August 9, 2018.
