You all know Ratchet, the grumpy Autobot medic. You know he isn't exactly "on board" with humans around the base. Okay, Raf, Jack, and Miko could be an exception, and perhaps June Darby and Agent Fowler, if he was in one of his better moods, but if there was another human? No. No way. That would make him the guardian of said human. And he had much better things to do than babysit. Cassidy Weathers isn't one to talk, mainly because she can't. She was born mute. It doesn't stop her from making her voice be heard though, as long as she has her notebook and as long as her fingers aren't broken. She never thought the three kids she had met and become fast friends with, Jack, Raf, and Miko, had a secret that was bigger than a two-story building. Except for Jack's motorcycle, perhaps. It could be one and a half stories. So when these two meet, which aren't under the best of circumstances, they might start butting heads (or helms, or both, or-you get the idea). Or they can have a guardian/charge relationship that they slowly build up to, even when one of them will respond to the other without a word. When Ratchet stumbles upon a relic while searching for energon, it doesn't take long for him to realize that Megatron wants it for his own possession. Neither of them expected the relic to transfer its contents to Ratchet during the struggle to claim it. Now that the relic itself is useless, Megatron sees an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. But if Ratchet doesn't give Megatron the information he desires, his physical wellbeing won't be the only thing he has to worry about. (This does have some depictions of violence and such, so read with caution.)
