Two teenage boys (Kai and Nico) in the small town of Suttons Bay Michigan, during the late 2000s, scramble to solve the mysterious death of Kai's older sister, Leai. The case was dismissed as a suicide based on evidence that the police had found, but Kai believed someone sick and twisted was behind this. Nico, his best friend, who had secretly felt deeply connected to Kai and had a friendship with Leai, also wanted more answers than what was given.
