Midoriya is hit with a quirk during his internship, causing him to lose his voice. What they don't know is that in return, he's able to hear the thoughts of those around him, allowing him to discover things about his classmates he was never supposed to know. Three years he spent on that godforsaken island. Three years running for his life and fighting tooth and nail for survival against creatures that should be nothing more than fossils. Three years of sharpening his instincts and senses into a weapon all their own. And finally, after three years, he had the opportunity to chase his dream. When he was 4, Izuku was deemed Quirkless. Having two joints in your pinky toe was a sure way to prove if one was born with a Quirk or not. There were only ever 2 cases in all of documented Quirk History where someone with the extra joint had developed a Quirk, so it was with absolute 100% certainty that the doctor had informed the crushed child and devastated mother that he would never develop one. He was wrong. A story where Izuku has an immortality Quirk that he finds more annoying than anything else. Featuring a Detective Tsukauchi who's practically adopted our favorite Green Bean.

Midoriya gets hit by an unknown quirk (are we sure he doesn't have a bad luck quirk?) and when they ask the person who did it, our hero finds out he'll be a mess for an entire month.
