Anemo visions in all over Teyvat are getting weaker and slowly fade away. In all region those specific vision users suffer from nightmares and short-timed hallucinations. Zhongli, one of the seven, witnesses this very occurrence in Xiao, whose vision is clouded and has more nightmares than usual. Occasionally hallucinating about his deceased Yakshas. For this reason, the worried Archon decides to travel to Mondstadt in search of his old friend and actual god of the element. At first glance, Venti seems quite normal, but a sad, corrupted truth is hidden behind his joyful character.

Barbatos succumbs to corruption, not seeking help. The corruption eventually spiraled out of control, to the extent that he sealed Mondstadt, the whole of Mondstadt in, allowing no one in or out. He destroys multiple teleport waypoints, making it hard for the traveller to come in. The traveller has no choice but to call the other 3 archons for help.
