(Shay x Reader) Stay your blade from the flesh of the innocent, hide in plain sight, and never compromise the Assassin Brotherhood. These are the tenants of the Creed, the rules you have sworn to live by. But after you're taken hostage by your enemy, a ruthless Assassin turned Templar by the name of Shay Patrick Cormac, will your views change?

I've played all of the Assassin's Creed games (with the exception of 3, not very interested) and Rogue was the most recent I've played. After watching Shay's tale unfold, I started to see that the Templars weren't nearly as bad as the Assassins were making them out to be, I was inspired by his story and I wrote this piece. I want a peace between the Assassins and Templars, like there was between Arno Dorian and Élise de la Serre. This piece is about that unity (no pun intended) I seek.

When Shay Cormac appoints Jakel, one of his crew members to the royal navy, he's excited to begin, and doesn't plan on disappointing Shay. He ends up doing so well that the templars take special notice and offer to have him join them, which he happily does. Not long after, he discovers the true meaning to the phrase "may the father of understanding guide us." He joins the assassins after this, and will stop at nothing to gain and spread the truth, his awareness, his knowledge.
