It's been 13 years since the Avengers defeated Loki and his army. Things have been pretty quiet since then. Now, however, a new generation of heroes is rising up, and with it is coming a new generation of villains. *Disclaimer* I do not claim to own the Avengers themselves or anything related to them that comes from the movies, comics, etc. I do, however, own Florence Rogers and Alexius.

It's the summer of 1943. 13 year old Helen is just finishing up school. The US has been involved in WWII for just a little under a year, and Helen's father left as soon as a request went out for enlistment. She comes home one day to find her mother waiting to give her some unexpected news. "Is it Dad?" Helen asked. "Helen, honey, it's not dad," replied her mother. "At least, it's not only about him. But...there's going to be some changes around here...and they are connected to some choices your dad has made." She sighed. "Or rather been forced into," Helen heard her murmur.
