But, the boy...he was standing on the ledge of a roof, getting ready to jump. Aizawa had tried to talk to the kid but it seemed to fall on deaf ears as the kid jumped. After Aizawa caught him he tried talking to the kid only to find out he was deaf. He realized that he couldn't have tried to talk him out of it because the kid couldn't hear him. He took the boy to the hospital to see if he was ok. When he asked the boy why he wanted to end his life the boy had busted into tears. Aizawa later learned the boys past and was angry. He adopted the boy and unbeknowingly helped to childhood friends reunite.
