She was very smart, so it wasn't a surprise that she became a doctor. Her family was proud of her, even if she wasn't a bounty hunter like most of them. Everly had moved away from her family a few years ago because of her boyfriend. The two were engaged for quite a few years, but their relationship ended when she found him sleeping with her best friend. She was quick to kick his gold-digging behind to the curb, and he was not happy about it. Everly then turned him in on breaking and enterering weeks later when he tried to attack her and their daughter in their home.
