He did all of this just to please his dad and get his attention, but he started quitting because his little brother started taking straight A's too and just like before Naruto was blown away again. Having a strict father who expects you to fulfill his own expectations just like your older brother always did and diverting his time in studying, trying to meet his own expectations and taking care of his younger brother. In this story, Naruto is not how he was in canon as he inherited his father's genius while still keeping some of his original knucklehead personality. At a young age, he met the Kyuubi and found out his heritage. Naruto unlocks his chakra years before going to the academy. After unlocking his chakra he is assigned a tutor by the third Hokage. As years go on Naruto learns from more from many high rank shinobi in secret. Only a select few like the Hokage and the few who trained or trained with Naruto know about his secret training. When he goes into the academy he dumbs himself down a bit to about just below average academy. Which he keeps up until graduation. After graduation, Naruto slowly drops his mask showing the village just who he really is made of.

He's a prodigy among prodigies, also having all five chakra affinities, yet one day, the hokage assigns the cold and cruel naruto with keeping an eye on sasuke, making sure he doesn't give into his revenge. Will naruto learn to open up to his friends, and maybe even reveal his identity to them? Will sasuke change him? Will naruto allow his feelings to seep through his stoic mask?
