Although the goddess had first planned to have the hero do his journey alone, she took sympathy for him and decided to create him a partner, one that would aid him during the dangerous travels to the Divine Beasts and finally, Calamity Ganon. That was your purpose. 100 years passed since the defeat of the Champions, although one remained. The one you were to help once he awoke from his slumber. I just needed closure from TOTK. Totally sad that that there will be no DLC. I was really hoping to get to play in maybe a fully restored Hyrule. So this is my take on life after TOTK. Everything belongs to Nintendo except for this story plot and some additional characters I created to help the story along. This is my first ever writing and sharing a story. Please forgive and don't hate. 😉

A retelling of events leading up to Breath of the Wild attempting to fill in some of the gaps and better explain the unanswered questions.

Zelda and Link have defeated Calamity Ganon and are now free to go their own way. However, it is hard to get to grips with their past, which can get in the way of their present. And as if that isn't hard enough, there seems to be a new threat that they will need to face. **This story takes place directly after Breath of the Wild and has no link to Tears of the Kingdom.

We know Link's story throughout all the games, but there are still many missing pieces that only the power of the goddess can bring to us. In the eyes of young Zelda, all will be revealed. The Silent Princess will speak with her wisdom of what she has seen over the span of the 100 years she has been fighting. *credit for characters, music, images, some dialogue, and other things I may use or quote from Nintendo belongs to them, not me. The same goes for any other images and music from different artists. *All I claim rights on is the idea of this and the other parts that solely come from my own imagination and outlook of the story from Breath of the Wild and a few of the other featured games mentioned.

Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all? This story flashes back from before and after the Great Calamity. What happens after Link defeats Calamity Ganon? This story is very long, but if I do say so myself, I think it's worth it! In modern day Hyrule, Link is an orphan who lives in an orphanage. Because he is meant to be the Hero of Hyrule, his bunkmates get jealous and bully him for it. When Link enters first grade, he befriends Zelda, the most beautiful girl in Hyrule, and eventually falls in love with her. The two become inseparable, but everything changes when Zelda hits puberty; she vanishes and doesn't show up at school. Link tries to contact and find her, but no luck. Five years later, Link is a 16-year-old man with severe depression and a Hero chosen by the Master Rifle. He is still in love with Zelda and thinks about her every second of his life. One day, Link saves a woman from the Yiga clan members, and that woman turns out to be Zelda. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda.
