Halloween is easily Luz's favourite holiday - Scary costumes, free candy, and a day where being weird is a good thing? What's not to love! As it begins to reach that time back on the Human Realm, however, she learns the Boiling Isles has not a holiday, but an irregular force of nature known as called 'Valeween', where the Witches and Demons of the Isles gather together, share food, and... Board up their houses and windows. Why is everyone so scared of this day? Why have the trees gone black? And why is Amity so on edge?

You would sometimes get bullied a little for your particular liking of Azura. Sure, it wasn't as popular as Marvel or anime but you liked it. Luckily, Luz was there to help you out against those bullies. Your friendship blossomed with her as you both aged. However, once you hit high school, you had a couple of problems. You struggled to keep your self-esteem up due to your depression, procrastinated on schoolwork that led to you completing on them during class, and kept getting into fights. Speaking of fights, you beat up your bully for getting your Walkman broken. But of course, the person getting bullied has to get punished rather than the bully themselves. Luz is also called up to the office for your shared book report, which caused a certain amount of chaos. Next, you're in a magical world that most likely differs from the summer camp you were sent to. You navigate through that world on a journey of peril, trust, romance, and longing.
