Aiden is having a hard time adjusting after his parents' divorce. Sam has just moved to a new home and school. Azriel is getting bullied for being Gender-neutral and Christian. Nirya is struggling after her mom's death. Alex is questioning his identity. All kids come together in the "Out-of-Placers club", a club at their school for kids who feel out of place. Quinn has a long list of crushes. The boy on the football team, the smart girl, the hot famous kid. But of course, none of them notice her. That's okay with Quinn, she's content drawing them in her notebook of crushes, and writing their names in curly script. But then her notebook goes missing. Two days later, she finds a note in her locker saying that unless she wants everyone to know about her crushes, she has to kiss all of them. Going down the list, one by one.

Ever since her mom told her she was going to spend the school year at a private all girls school, Avery has been dreading the trip. The uniforms are tight and uncomfortable, the girls are the snooty teens she was hoping to leave behind at her last school, and her roommates are nosy beyond belief. Avery is thankful she'll be leaving in the fall, but then she finds herself kissing her roommate in the hallway, and begins to get scared. Thankfully no one's found out...at least not yet....
