Catherine Spicks is perfectly sane. However, no one seems to believe this besides her four feline friends: Midnight, Stormcloud, Blizzard and Flame. Unfortunately, no one can hear Cat's furry friends talking besides Cat herself. Just before Cat's nineteenth birthday, she moves from her parents' cozy, well-kept cottage to her Grandmother's sprawling, half-ruined mansion. She insists on bringing the four cats with her. There, at the Spicks Mansion, Cat and her felines find themselves battling a malevolent force. Cat begins to realize that her small family is not who she thought. She barely knows them.
