Jay and Nya are just in a park enjoying their picnic together as a lovely couple until they get attack by some bad guys that are all wearing black. They're attacking Nya and Jay and there fighting them back. One of them were gonna shoot Nya in her back and then Jay sees this so he runs and pushes Nya out of the way and Jay gets shot and dies.... The strangers left and Jay was dying in Nya's arms. He told her something then just like that Jay's electrical blue eyes were gone they turned grey, his smile for once in his life was a blank face. Nya cried and cried. She finally snapped out of it and carried Jay home and told the others. She thought that they could help him but they couldn't it was no use. Nya cried and cried in Kai's arms. The day is quite fine as the ninja are chilling on the upper deck of the Destiny's Bounty. Later, when they land in a forest to complete a mission of capturing Pythor and Skales, Jay mysteriously goes missing. The others are panicking and Zane cannot locate Jay! Will they be able to recover their blue friend? Or will the beloved Master of Lightning be gone forever?

Taking place shortly after the events of The Hands of Time: when a mission to save kidnapped kids goes wrong, a mysterious clan believes Jay holds the secret to a magic spell that can turn someone into a dragon. Nya, Kai, and the other ninja attempt to save Jay from the intelligent schemes of the clan. All the while, Jay learns more about the past of the Elemental Masters and has to decide whether or not to make a sacrifice to save his friends. I've never really written a fanfic before so go easy on me! I think this goes without saying but I don't own Ninjago or the character in Ninjago.
