Destiny is not guaranteed. It is not written. It is earned. It is lived. Jade was born to fight, to protect, and to lead. She was born of a bloodline destined to bond with a wolf. It was her right. But as the years passed, and as more blood coughed over her lips, she was awakened to the thought that she was not what people wanted her to be. In a society ruled by tradition, Jade must forge her own destiny. But by doing so, she must break every rule she has ever known, she must leave behind everything she has loved.
