Emma Lucy Smallbone has a pretty good life currently. She was adopted at the age of 7 by Luke and Courtney Smallbone, and she's alright with that. She's rushed to the hospital, where the reason for her collapse is discovered- Trauma suffered at birth. Her biological parents had believed that she was successfully aborted at birth, but the doctor saved her, putting her in foster care. So now, for the first time, she and her adoptive parents start searching for her biological parents. After a couple weeks, she finds out who her biological parents are- And that they're a lot closer than anyone thought. How will they- and her biological siblings- react to her revealing that? And will Emma be able to forgive them, and trust God at the same time?

Nila has always been called the sunshine in the lives of those she loves. But she's too scared, too used to being the brightest light in the room, to come forward about what she's dealing with to her dad, or her uncle, who are both growing more concerned by the day. Finally, everything falls and Nila decides to end her own life. A close save by Joel spares it, but it seems that she's only getting worse, now not only dealing with what she always was, but also a load of shame larger than herself. And now, Luke and Joel are in a desperate struggle for the life of the girl they love so much, to show her that she's found the place where she belongs, where there are no more broken lullabies.
