The human population turned to the wolves and vampires for protection. That's what started it. Now all girls the age of 16 must enter into "the church." A place that is actually a culling ground for vampire beloveds and werewolf mates. A safe place for these girls to grow up in. A place where they were trained on what to expect, if they became a chosen mate.

A lonely widow meets a man recovering from a brutal fight. She has known love and life with a wonderful husband. He had mated out of duty, to produce heirs. The love she has for him is great, but will his secret push them apart. Together, they learn to accept each other's differences as he learns what it means to love, truly love. Lev's a skittish mer washed up on the beach after venturing too close to the shore during a bad storm. After that, there's no telling what will happen to him. --- A mermaid au of my own characters! The full thing is on tumblr, but I'll be slowly adding it to wattpad as well, mostly so I can read it myself in order with less hassle. There are a total of 27 parts, and a little extra added on the end, maybe ;) If I ever finish them.

"NO!" I pull at his hand, trying to restrain it from hitting the glass. He can't break it! "Please, don't!" I cry out, only to be thrown across the room, my body colliding with the wall. My only way home, my only chance to see the world I love and know. And just like that, his fist collides with the mirror, the glass shattering to the ground as I scream.
