In a world where marks appear on a select few individuals, Spencer lives in solitude and constant fear as one of the marked. These marks spread across his skin and appears to be veins bleeding black ink. Those without marks, or the "clean" people, detest those with marks. They target them and attack them and Spencer, living as the only openly marked boy in his town, feels like prey being hunted. Just as there is someone at the bottom of the social hierarchy, there must be someone at the top. Elio lives as the schools perfect "Golden Boy". But even perfect boys have secrets. ******** His golden hair appeared almost silver under the moon. His eyes were just as steady and just as terrifying. I didn't dare take a breath. He dropped his hand and smiled and I winced. I literally winced. He gestured to my headphones and with shaky hands I slipped them off, watching his smile bleed across his face, dripping with a new kind of terror I couldn't quite place. "Hey," he said, light and typical of his golden boy persona, "I've seen you around at school." I blinked at him, not used to a conversation this civil proceeding a murder attempt. "I'm Elio," he smiled again. It didn't reach his eyes. Again. I swallowed, hard and dry. "I know." 🏅 #1- gayfiction- Apr 27, 2026 🥇 #1- gaypride- Apr 26, 2026 🥇 #1- Boyxboy- Dec 30, 2025🥇 #1- Slowburn- Dec 30, 2025🥇 #3- pride- Apr 28, 2026 🥉 #3- bxblove- Jan 03, 2026 🥉

A deaf boy, named Nigel, settles in the image of what everyone sees him as: a once hearing-to-deaf and pitiful teen. With that, he's able to hide the his true and dark nature that allows him to take revenge out on those who hurt someone he cared for the most. Until one of those people he intends to punish, Evan, happens to be someone he didn't expect to care for. Someone he can't decide to hurt, or protect from his own nature he can't help. *** "Why are you looking at my lips?" Evan questions him, and he saw Nigel look back at them again. "Are you into dudes or something? Listen, I'm straight, but I don't have a problem with gay dudes. Just don't try to force your sexuality onto me, that's pretty shitty." The more he spoke, the more Nigel would look at his lips. Evan began to cover his mouth now and saw Nigel almost look offended by him doing so. Now he was confused and raised his eyebrow. Only to see Nigel sigh, stepping back as he looked down at Evan in contempt. "I am deaf, but I can read lips perfectly. You really have no filter, saying whatever you want without the consideration of how others might feel." Nigel spoke up, shocking Evan as he heard his voice for the first time. "I'm bisexual, not gay; but you don't need to worry. I wouldn't dream of forcing anything upon anyone. Besides, I'd never like somebody like you." Evan watched as Nigel began to reach behind the counter, pulling up a camera out of nowhere. That's when his picture was taken on the spot and he flinched. Except Nigel just connected the camera to the computer as Evan's picture was extracted. Set on a template for a library card, he saw Nigel working on it. He didn't care about that though as it was the words that he said. 'Besides, I'd never like somebody like you.' That was ringing in his mind more than anything else because... "Wait, I think I heard you wrong."

[BxB] Aiden Rowe never asked for hockey. He doesn't like the cold, the crowds or the jocks. He'd much rather spend his time watching birds. But when he gets stuck covering the Port Howe Puffins for the school paper, his senior year suddenly revolves around freezing rinks, team dinners, deadlines and a sport he doesn't really understand. Somewhere between the chaos though, he finds someone who actually sees him and maybe hockey and Port Howe aren't the worst things after all. A soft, quirky and occasionally unhinged story about finding warmth (and love) in the unlikeliest of places. Content warning: lots of bird nerding Note: This is very much a queer romance with mature themes. Cover by @surrenderedstories

"Excuse me, sir. I think you may have dropped these?" It was the voice I noticed first. Smooth, a little amused, and low enough to draw me out of myself. Then I saw him. Dirty blonde hair that looked like waves crashing down the sides of his face, and freckles like splattered paint across his fair skin. A silver hoop in his nose, another in his brow, both catching the light. And those eyes... electric blue, staring into my green ones with intensity. - After a heartbreaking loss, Killian has spent two years shielding himself from love, or any human contact really-convinced that no one could ever replace the person he lost. Finn, on the other hand, is caught in the throes of a toxic relationship, knowing he's not getting what he deserves but is too scared to walk away. When their paths cross, the spark is undeniable, but both are hesitant, scared of getting too close. Killian fears the pain of loving and losing again, while Finn's relationship has made him lose hope all together-almost. Will they let their pasts define them, or can they find the courage to bloom together in the wake of their ruins?
