When someone says they're "falling in love", they don't literally mean it. It's an expression; a term they use to describe the feeling associated with a new romance. That heart-in-the-throat, adrenalin-pumping, roller-coaster type of feeling. When I use the expression "I fell in love", I mean it quite literally. I literally fell in love. The pond of love, to be exact. Now, that's not to say that it's some magical body of water which makes one fall in love (although, that's a common misconception). As the legend goes, it's a pond made by a god for his greatest love, whom he lost to the passage of time. He removed the dirt by hand, fistful by fistful, until there was a hole deep enough to hold all the tears he'd shed for his lost love. And then there was me, facing the god Amon, my clothes soaked with the precious tears he'd shed for his lover. Yes, I'd quite literally fallen in love. And into deep shit. ___________________________________________________________ Etta Mae is an archaeologist. A brand-new, recent graduate with absolutely no experience, she manages to score one of the most sought-after placements: as the assistant to world-renown Egyptologist, Salma Hayes. With a suitcase of clothes and a backpack of books, she flies for Giza, Egypt, to begin her new life. That is until she disappeared. Etta made a mistake--she walked off on her own. And the result? She fell through the earth and landed in the pond of Amon, the King of Egyptian Gods. Cover by @sereneur

"A high-spirited lady in the 21st century. A conceited Pharaoh in the 4th Egyptian Dynasty. Together, their passionate bond will rewrite history." When Hesperia Lilith Doxon flies all the way to Egypt to visit the famous Pyramid Complex, she finds herself falling into an ancient, empty sarcophagus that leads her to travel back in time. Now she's stuck in the hands of a great Pharaoh named Khnum Khufu, as she is claimed to be repossessing the former Queen's deceased body. Although Hesperia is eager to go home, the Pharaoh's unresolved past with the Queen and the impending problems within the royal family and the forces of a foreign city will ultimately hinder her goal. As she embarks on these challenges ahead, an irresistible attraction she feels for the Pharaoh becomes more intense too, especially when she begins to gain the deceased Queen's memories, confusing her heart even more... This is purely written in English.
