Amir Sterling has a few problems.
1. He smokes too much.
2. His patience expires in under thirty seconds.
3. He has the unfortunate habit of staring people into silence instead of speaking, which has earned him more enemies than friends.
Those were manageable.
Problem number four?
That one appeared about twenty minutes ago.
Last night, Amir fell asleep in his Manhattan penthouse wrapped in black silk sheets, surrounded by money, expensive liquor, and the kind of silence only wealth can buy.
He should've woken up exactly where he belonged.
Instead...
He wakes up in a penthouse that isn't his.
With a face that isn't his.
And a life that definitely isn't his.
For five full minutes, Amir stares at the stranger in the mirror.
One minute.
Two.
Three.
Five.
Then, with the calm resignation of a man who is already exhausted by the universe, he drags a hand down his face and sighs.
"...I'm too Black for this."
Now he's trapped inside the body of a powerful man with dangerous connections, obsessive admirers, and enemies who seem determined to kill him before breakfast.
The worst part?
Everyone expects him to know what's going on.
Amir doesn't.
He barely wants to get out of bed.
But if he's going to survive this ridiculous new life, he'll have to outsmart mafias, untangle secrets, dodge bullets, and figure out why everyone keeps looking at him like they already own him.
One thing is certain-
Whoever wrote this storyline...
Should've picked somebody else.
