𝓗𝓲𝓼 𝓛𝓲𝓽𝓽𝓵𝓮 𝓢𝔀𝓪𝓷 ​I prided myself on my composure, the way we had an effortless distance. That's why the ease with which I fell into his orbit should have been my first warning. I've always been a challenge, a cipher, and yet, with him, the walls I usually kept so high just... dissolved. ​I mistook my access for success. I thought I was the one winning, the one breaking through his reserve in a way no one else could. Everything that has happened, from the day we met to the complicated, tangled situation we're in right now, was never my doing. It was his plan, meticulously laid out, and I walked right into the center of it, utterly blind. I realize now that the prize wasn't getting close to him, the prize was getting caught by him.
