Sam Augustine is a member of both the RDA and the Avatar program on Pandora, alongside his best friends Norman "Norm" Spellman, Max Patel, Trudy Chacon, and his mother, who can be a spitfire at times, Grace Augustine. When he hears that Jake Sully was taking his place, Sam becomes nervous and also aware of how his mom was gonna react to a marine joining the program while being new to the program.
