One day, Sans fell sick. His sickness came out of nowhere and it cannot be cured no matter how many medicines Gaster gave him. Because of the sickness, Sans stayed still on the bed, just laying down or sitting on it under the blanket. The sickness can be seen from his face, half of his white skull was a little bit darker than the rest. Gaster and Papyrus had no idea what kind of illness Sans has, but they decided to take care of him no matter what, hoping that the sickness will soon gone either because of the medicines Gaster gave him, or disappears itself. For years, Papyrus knows, Sans has had nightmares. Horrible nightmares, nightmares that leave him crying in the dark, crippled in the mind, and barely able to function in life. And that's why Papyrus stays so happy, so bright, for Sans, to keep his brother going through the hard times. But when Papyrus starts having nightmares, he knows something is wrong. And even if it means Sans is finally stepping up to fend for himself, even if he's finally once again filling the role of the protective older brother, Papyrus knows that something dark is coming...
