"ᴡʜᴇɴ ɪ ᴅɪᴇ - ᴘʀᴏᴍɪꜱᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ʏᴏᴜ'ʟʟ ʙᴜʀʏ ᴍᴇ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰʟᴏᴡᴇʀꜱ ᴏꜰ ᴍʏ ʟᴀʙᴏᴜʀ." Fire burns brighter in the darkness. Evil lurks suitably amongst the shadows of death. They say that a child who isn't embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth. And that's what [Y/N] has literally had to do-though subconsciously-while desperately trying to make a change. After committing arson with her ability in rural Japan, she's taken to Yokohama to be kept under the supervision of the Port Mafia-Fire burns brighter in the darkness, right? So then, why is it that Dazai insists on refusing to let her lurk in the shadows of death? What could a former mafioso want to prove-needed to prove-besides the moral wrongs of a life lead of crime? But convicts know no morals; former Mafia executives and proactive arsonists are certainly not the best with morals... but if he insists... . . . "Will you wait for me in heaven?" "Don't make me wait for too long, [Y/N]." - I pulled the trigger. I shot Dazai. Demons are misunderstood creatures. In reality, they're the extremes of human regrets. They are what we become in desperation. Whether it was greed, obsession, or spite for one another a human and a demon fell in love. The laws of the world fell apart within their hands. A girl who was cast away for her differences, and a demon who was remembered as cruel and emotionless. Their story is one of tragedy but it is also one of perspective and romance. A couple who was seemingly perfect for one another separated by the two worlds they lived within. The world of a demon is much different from the world of a human, even for one who seemed to be different from most. Warnings She/her pronouns are used for the sake of making it easy to write for me. Past abuse, possessive behavior, character death Manga spoilers (Kotoha, and Douma vs Shinobu, Inosuke, and Kanao at the very end) Probably a little OOC I wrote this prior to s3 back when most spelled it out Douma so please don't go pointing out every little time i use Douma instead of Doma Top ten in: # 2 in flufftoangst on 8/4/21 # 8 in humanreader on 8/4/21 # 1 in demonslayerxreade on 11/17/21 # 3 in angsttofluff on 11/17/21 # 7 in doumaxreader on 11/17/21 # 8 in domaxreade on 11/17/21
