Deep in a northern evergreen forest where winters linger and summers are short, a lone human explorer makes her home in a canvas tent that has evolved into a half-cabin. Over many years she has reinforced the weather-stained canvas with rough-hewn wooden beams, scavenged planks from fallen trees, and a patchwork of bark shingles.
