"If You Ever Cared About Me" is about Opal Goulden, a sixteen year old girl who is in an abusive relationship. Her boyfriend, Brayden Jones, has no respect for her whatsoever, he cheats on her and lowers her self esteem. Through the story, she learns to become more confident in herself, and she starts speaking up around the injustices around her, despite the many challenges that she faces. It's a coming of age tale that aims to provoke discussion and awareness around something that is very present in our society today.
